Spruce Up Your Deck / Patio
Decks and patios are a perfect places to lounge and just hang out. If you have a deck that needs some water damaged or warped planks, they will need replacing. Make sure to stain or paint your deck in a bold and inviting way. On patios, make sure to fix or replace any pavers, bricks, or stones that have become loose over time. Boring concrete slabs can be enhanced by adding bold textures and colors that imitate stone or other natural looks. If you deck or patio area is large enough, it’s a good idea to create different zones for the space. If possible have these zones have different elevations. Some zones could include an area for relaxing, an area for cooking, an area for dining, and area for kids. Always incorporate flowers in your design for visual appeal. Contains and flower beds where possible.
Outdoor Lighting Can Set the Mood
Use your lighting to enhance your landscaping, deck/patio areas, and your home. Lighting over the cooking areas is a must. Then add wall mounting lights, lamps with dimmer switches, lighted walkways, etc.
Outdoor Kitchens
Bring the convenience of inside… OUTSIDE. Not having to go inside for things will make hosting events so much more fun for the hosts and guests. Appliances like refrigerators, stoves, grills, wine coolers, and pizza ovens will really make a difference. Add a sink and some counter-space and you have a full blown outdoor kitchen!
